Human Trafficking Screening Tool
Developed by the Arkansas Human Trafficking Council, this workbook equips DCFS workers and partner professionals with three screening tools to help identify potential red flags of human trafficking:
Rapid ID Tool (Minors) – brief for time-sensitive situations
Comprehensive ID Tool (Minors) – detailed screen for fuller picture
General Tool – broader screen applicable across populations
These tools are built for observation, not interrogation. Never question a child or family directly using these items. Instead, read through the indicators and mark what you have personally observed in your interactions, environment, or case history. A response to every item isn’t needed. The toolkit will still generate a result based on what you are able to observe. This is a resource for informed noticing, not a script for questioning a potential victim.
